The word “Real” is almost as overused in the world of Hip Hop as the term “Swag” but when asked to describe up and coming Sidewayz Ent. artist Tuck both the streets and the industry agree that he is one of the Realist ever too lace a track.
Born in St. Louis but raised in the streets of South East San Diego Tuck has lived a life filled with run ins with the police, gang violence and illegal activities. In middle school he discovered music as a outlet for him too vent all of the frustrations he was feeling and was blessed to begin recording the things he was seeing every day in the streets. His friends and family immediately took notice of the talents he possessed and encouraged Tuck to continue recording and perfecting his music. Due to his young age and being caught up in the streets, Tuck instead chose to put music on the back burner and continue to build his reputation in the streets.
At the age of 16 Tuck began too consider music as a real option for his life and he re entered the recording studio where he began to perfect his lyrics and unique flow. Although he was still caught up in the streets Tuck began to really come into his own as a artist and over the next few years he would begin to appear on other San Diego artist’s projects. Although they already knew him through his reputation in the streets San Diego based record label Sidewayz Ent. took notice of Tuck as a musical artist and he was asked to join the label. Tuck immediately jumped at the opportunity and appeared on Beta Bossalini’s Diary Of a Boss Chapter 2 as well as Juice Lee’s “Notplaying.com Vol. 1.” Tuck’s unique flow and all too real stories from his life in the streets of San Diego captured the attention of the West Coast music industry and now has both fans and labels patiently awaiting his next move.
With the backing of San Diego’s powerhouse record label Sidewayz Ent. and Tuck’s attention grabbing flow it’s no mystery that the upcoming releases of his debut solo mix tapes “All Tucked In” and “Stay Down Till I Come Up” will serve as just the beginning of Tuck creating a very successful place for himself in the West Coast music industry.
